Doctor, Doctor!

Monday was an interesting day.  We finally took Tanner to the orthopedic surgeon to find out about the pain in his shoulder.   We were there for a few hours, and Tanner had an MRI.  Aislyn and Nolan were absolute gems, sleeping almost the entire time. 

Today Tanner and Kevin went back for the results of the MRI, and we were happy to find out that there's no tears or fragments.  The doctor put him on an Advil regiment, and prescribed some physical therapy, and said he'd be ready to go for the baseball season!  YAY!!

Lots of BABIES!

Today was so busy!  I had the twins plus Naomi!  She's one and very, very busy, but also very, very sweet.  It was an exciting morning!

 

DRHS Annual 100 Inning Game

We had such a great day!  We honored the Smith family and the boys played 6 hours worth of baseball to get in their 100 innings.  Kevin did a huge favor to us all by smoking 7 pork butts for pulled pork sandwiches to sell at the game.  People raved about the pork...I must admit, it was DELICIOUS!  We were exhausted by the end of the day, but exceeded our fundraising goal, so it was all worth it!

 

Temple Tour

We had the opportunity to take 10 of our non-member friends (the Jeff's and the Bank's) to tour the new LDS Gilbert Temple.  It was a wonderful experience, and the temple was absolutely incredible!  The stone work was so impressive, as well as all of the stained glass.  It was perfect, and I look forward to being able to attend once it's dedicated.  I think our friends were impressed, and it was fun to be able to answer some of their questions as we went through.  It was a great evening!

 

MLK DAY

I had my boys home from school today, so I told them I'd take them to lunch...IF they'd run some errands with me first.

Little did they know that the "errand" was actually the movie FROZEN! {insert evil laugh!!!}

I knew they'd never willingly go to a girly-musical-animated-Disney movie, so I had to be a little deceitful.  I asked them for forgiveness, and they obliged, grudgingly.  Still...

To make sure they would really honestly forgive me, I took them for FroYo after the movie.  I'm pretty sure that they all admitted that it was a pretty good movie...but, I could have been experiencing a brain freeze...??

Winter Garden

I have been waiting ever so patiently for my winter tomatoes to ripen.  I was just beginning to think it was never going to happen, but then I found this...

It restored my hope that they may eventually ripen...hopefully!

Funnel Cake

So, it's Sunday night and we're watching Food Network as a family.

It's a special on Donuts.  We all love donuts so I got on Pinterest to see if I could find a quick an easy recipe for them.  I found a lot of recipes, but none of them were "quick".   During my search, however, I found a batter recipe for Funnel Cake...and the rest is history!
